Navajo Research Program

Program Overview

The Navajo Research Program provide technical assistance to the Navajo Human Research Board (NNHRRB). The NNHRRB was developed in 1996 to guarantee ethical research for the Dine' People.

Mission Statement

The Navajo Research Program is to support research that promotes and enhances the interests and the visions of the Navajo People; to encourage a mutual and beneficial partnership between the Navajo People and Researchers; and to create an interface where difference cultures, lifestyles, disciplines, and ideologies can come together in a way that improves, promotes, and strengthens the health of the Navajo people. 

Goal: To provide effective, efficient, adequate, and appropriate administrative oversight (execution, enforcement, quality control, supervision, technical assistance, partnership development & leadership) to health programs and projects within the division by improving and strengthening the capabilities and competencies of the Executive administration.
