Non-IHS/THO entities interested in conducting COVID-19 testing on Navajo Nation must inform the Health Command
Operations Center and Navajo Dept. of Health for review and approval to ensure that all partners have agreed to a plan
for education at the time of testing, proper specimen collection, timely case notification and contact tracing, and

COVID-19 testing recommendations for the Navajo Nation:
- Testing should be available to anyone seeking testing, including those without symptoms or exposures
- All close contacts should be tested 5 days after the last exposure. This applies to all close contacts, regardless of vaccination status and regardless of symptoms
- All close contacts should get tested immediately if COVID-19 symptoms develop during the 14 days after last exposure.
